There are things I need to ask of you. Things you may not understand, and things you may not wish to do, but please, do not make the same mistakes my father did.
My father, Howard, deserted me before I was born. I could claim the loss of my mother, and the letter I recieved after her funeral, blinded me as to what I had todo. It would be a lie:
Human nature sealed my downfall.
My name is Phillip. If we are lucky, by the time you recieve this, I will be dead.
If fate frowns, we all perish.

While this journals subject like may entice one to wonder of the depths of the author's tailhole ~ X3 ~ sadly that is not what I am here to ask of the reader today.
Im here to share a game experience unlike any other. If you have not yet heard of the 2-Part game series Penumbra Overture, and its conclusion installment, Penumbra Black Plague. I HIGHLY suggest you visit these links, and download a demo. & Plague
The game genre itself is a Adventure/Action/PuzzleSolver, but plays like a game where Myst meets Silent Hill and throw in the Havok physics engine!
This game is Horror to the core! And in refreshing new ways! (though that also probably means getting scared in new ways as well hehe) The most notable aspect is the story. How much praise I give these games for how intricately the story is woven. Much like reading a book, one that after the first few pages, draws you in and becomes so irresistable that you can't help but not put it down, and would remember for a lifetime! I can't say enough to describe how human the feelings the player experiences are. Willingness, Desperation, Lonelyness, Heroism, and Stupidity.
Much less how human the game will make the player feel with the game's mechanics and Havok Physics Engine. The graphics are incredibly detailed, absolutly breathtaking, the audio is insanely eerie and well suited to the environments the players encounters.
These are the things I have felt compelled to say after my experience playing these games - and I have to say, I truely hope that the Developers recieve the notice and praise they justly deserve.
Test yourself, can you resist the bittersweet taste of Human Nature, can you resist the calling of mysteries that lie beneath a millenia of rock and snow?
